ImpactU was created to support university-based social ventures with training and funding and prove the demand and opportunity of social ventures across UK Universities. With £1.5 million in seed funding from Research England, ImpactU supports students, academics, alumni, and university teams in launching and scaling businesses for social and environmental good.

As demand for skills and knowledge in Social Ventures has grown, ImpactU saw an opportunity to create a seamless, AI-powered learning ecosystem—one that would:

• Reduce manual workload for a lean team
• Deliver structured, interactive learning experiences with minimal overhead

During initial research for the procurement of an LMS, it became clear that legacy systems and other software on the market could not meet the needs of the project. The ImpactU team needed a platform that could support the small team with fast and high-quality content creation, offer a simple yet valuable onboarding process to harness data across University members/users and provide customers with an ergonomically friendly interface and UX. Key challenges included:
